| Update for February |
|
Hello Everyone! It has been a mixed few weeks for us at Sale with a few good wins (all against the same team, Quins) and some really disappointing defeats at the hands of Northampton, Cardiff Blues and Toulouse. But, it's all part of a day's work and I have learned over the years to take the rough with the smooth. Now we are out of the Heineken and LV Cup, we can start to concentrate on the Premiership. I was very nearly part of the Question of Sport team a few weeks ago, but unfortunately got a really nasty tummy bug, which we all had at home, so I had to miss out. It's still on the cards though so I will let you know when it is going to be on. I have been on it twice before and twice as mystery guest - you may remember the launderette! The other time I had birds of prey land on my arm. Great fun! Thank you to those of you who supported the RNLI SOS Day. I noticed there were lots of the Ben Cohen Gold Members in there. Well, between us, we raised £525 so we beat our target. Good Team Effort!! It was surreal filming it. Jill came over and filmed me on my IPhone with the script for the intro sellotaped on the bottom of the phone. It took about 20 takes until we got it right. At one stage we thought we had cracked it only to discover an attractive dead plant lurking in the background! The actual story only took one take though. Impressive and just as well as I was almost out of battery - well, my phone was. Jill tells me that we have booked a table for members to come up for a match on the 2nd April. It will be really good to meet some of you. I hear that we have two coming from France and two from Denmark! That's impressive. I never know if I am going to be picked until a few days before the match, but hopefully I will be. I will be there though to say hello and get to know everyone and Jill will make sure we are all organised and know what we are doing!! (Bossy) I have been really busy on the home front with loads of odd jobs around the house and grounds. We had a bit of a nightmare the other day as Mr Fox got in and took all of our chickens. Feathers everywhere! One of the guys who has horses with us has kindly given us two new ones for the girls to collect eggs from. Happy Days! It's good to chat to you on Facebook. I don't get much time to update my status. I always seem to be driving, training or changing nappies but the day before a match is a bit calmer and I normally find myself in a coffee shop with a bit of time on my hands. I read the emails that come through. It's really nice to hear from people I haven't heard from for a while. I am being encouraged to enter into the world of Twitter. Jill runs it at the moment. I will get round to it. I am following quite a few of my mates and can see what they are up to. We are currently running a competition for members to win a Ben Cohen Collection signed canvas. It is a bit different. It has a 'posterized' effect which I really like. We will be looking at including them in the shop in the near future. Well that's all for now. Thanks for visiting and your continued support. Until next time, Cheers, Ben.
